1. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use Voice of Reason, we may collect information you provide directly, including:

• Your name and email address
• Account login information
• Onboarding responses and preferences
• Areas in which you would like support
• Guidance and response preferences
• Messages you send to Voice of Reason
• Journal entries
• Check-ins
• Saved guidance, reflections, affirmations, meditations, or other saved content
• Meditation progress
• Information you choose to provide through voice input
• Information you voluntarily share about your experiences, relationships, emotions, health, or other personal matters

You decide what you share with Voice of Reason.

2. How Voice of Reason Uses Your Information

We use your information to provide and personalize the Voice of Reason experience.

This includes:

• Creating and maintaining your account
• Responding to messages you send to Voice of Reason
• Providing personalized reflections and guidance
• Remembering relevant information when the memory feature is enabled
• Maintaining your conversation history
• Saving your journal entries and saved content
• Tracking meditation progress
• Remembering your preferences
• Providing account and password-reset functions
• Maintaining the security and operation of the service

We do not use your conversations, journal entries, or emotional or health-related information for advertising, lead generation, or marketing.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. AI-Powered Conversations

Voice of Reason uses artificial intelligence to generate responses.

When you send a message to Voice of Reason, information needed to generate a response is processed through our AI service infrastructure.

This may include:

• The message you send
• Your first name
• Your selected support areas and response preferences
• Relevant information from your Voice of Reason memory, if memory is enabled
• Recent messages from the current conversation
• Information from your most recent check-in when relevant

Voice of Reason currently uses Anthropic Claude through Emergent's managed AI infrastructure to generate conversational responses and support continuity features.

Your email address and internal account identifier are not intentionally included in the information sent to the AI model for generating a response.

However, anything you personally include within a conversation may be included in the content processed by the AI provider.

Third-party AI providers may process information according to their own applicable terms, privacy practices, and data-retention policies.

4. Voice Input

If you use the microphone feature, Voice of Reason temporarily records the audio necessary to transcribe what you say.

Audio is sent through OpenAI Whisper via Emergent's managed AI infrastructure for transcription.

Voice of Reason does not permanently store the original audio recording in its active database. The temporary server-side audio file is deleted after transcription.

The resulting transcript is returned to the app. If you choose to send the transcribed text as a message, it is then treated and stored like any other conversation message.

Third-party processing of audio may be subject to the applicable provider's privacy and retention practices.

5. Conversations

Your conversations and Voice of Reason responses are stored so that you can access your conversation history and maintain continuity.

Conversation history remains in the active database until you delete the applicable conversation, clear your AI history, or delete your account.

When you delete a conversation or clear your AI history, that information is removed from the active Voice of Reason database.

6. Memory and Personalization

Voice of Reason includes an optional memory feature designed to create continuity between conversations.

When memory is enabled, the app may create and store information based on things you have shared, such as:

• Communication preferences
• Relevant personal context
• Topics or circumstances important to you
• Goals, obstacles, or next steps
• Relevant emotional check-in information

Some remembered information may be inferred from your conversations through AI processing.

You can view, edit, confirm, or delete individual memories.

You can also turn the memory feature off.

When memory is disabled, stored memory is not used to personalize future Voice of Reason responses, and new continuity memories are not created.

7. Journal Entries

Journal entries are stored in the Voice of Reason database so they can be displayed back to you.

Journal entries are not currently sent to the AI provider for generating Voice of Reason responses.

They are not used for advertising or marketing.

You can delete your journal entries.

8. Saved Wisdom and Other Saved Content

When you save guidance, reflections, affirmations, meditations, grounding exercises, prompts, or other content to your Library or “Your Journey,” those items are stored in your account so you can access them later.

You can delete saved items.

9. Meditation Activity

Voice of Reason may store limited information about your meditation activity, such as which meditation you were using, your playback position, and whether you completed it.

This information is used to provide the meditation experience and maintain your progress.

10. Early-Access Email List

If you provide your email address through the Voice of Reason landing page, we use it for Voice of Reason early-access communication.

The landing page currently stores:

• Your email address
• A randomly generated database identifier
• The date and time you signed up

Early-access signup information is stored through Lovable Cloud using a Supabase-managed database.

The landing page does not currently connect your early-access email address to your Voice of Reason conversations, journal entries, saved content, or app account.

The landing page does not currently use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, marketing trackers, or advertising cookies.

If you would like your early-access email address removed, you may contact us to request deletion.

11. Service Providers

Voice of Reason relies on service providers to operate the app. Depending on the feature you use, these providers may process information on our behalf.

Current providers include:

• Emergent — application hosting, infrastructure, managed AI integrations, and related services.
• MongoDB — database infrastructure used within the Emergent-hosted environment to store account information and app data.
• Anthropic — AI processing used to generate Voice of Reason responses and support continuity/memory functions.
• OpenAI — speech-to-text processing through Whisper when you use voice input.
• Resend — email delivery used for password-reset communications through Emergent's managed infrastructure.
• Google — authentication services if you choose Google Sign-In.
• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — storage of early-access email signups submitted through the Voice of Reason landing page.
• Google Fonts — font resources used by the public landing page; as with standard web requests, the service may receive technical request information needed to deliver those resources.

These providers may process information according to their own applicable privacy practices and contractual arrangements.

12. Analytics and Advertising

Voice of Reason currently does not use third-party behavioral analytics, advertising pixels, advertising IDs, or advertising networks within the app.

We do not currently use conversation content, journal content, saved content, or information about your emotional or mental-health experiences for targeted advertising.

We do not sell this information to advertisers.

13. Sensitive Information

Voice of Reason is intended for personal reflection and general wellness. You may voluntarily choose to discuss sensitive topics, including relationships, trauma, emotions, mental health, medications, or other personal matters.

Information you voluntarily include in a Voice of Reason conversation is handled as conversation data and may be processed by the AI services described in this Policy.

Voice of Reason is not intended to function as a HIPAA-compliant clinical record system.

Please use your own judgment regarding the personal information you choose to share.

14. Safety Features

Voice of Reason includes limited automated safety functionality designed to identify certain crisis-related language.

If this functionality is triggered, the system may create a safety-event record containing your user identifier, conversation identifier, and timestamp.

The safety-event record does not include the text of the triggering message.

This functionality does not constitute emergency monitoring, professional crisis intervention, or continuous human review.

15. How We Protect Information

We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect user information.

• Information transmitted between the app and its backend is protected using HTTPS/TLS.
• Access to user information through the application is authenticated, and user records are scoped to the authenticated user's account.
• Passwords for email/password accounts are stored using cryptographic hashing rather than as readable passwords.
• Application API keys and service credentials are maintained server-side rather than exposed through the client application.

No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure will never occur.

16. Account and Data Deletion

You may delete individual content within the app where deletion controls are available.

You may also permanently delete your Voice of Reason account.

When an account is deleted, associated personal information is removed from the active Voice of Reason database, including:

• Account information
• Conversations and messages
• Journal entries
• Saved content
• Check-ins
• Onboarding information
• Meditation progress
• Journey profile and memory information
• Safety-event records
• Password-reset records and tokens

Copies may remain temporarily in infrastructure-level backups according to the applicable hosting provider's backup and retention practices.

Information previously processed by third-party providers may also be subject to those providers' applicable retention obligations and practices.

17. Data Retention

We generally retain information in the active Voice of Reason database while your account remains active or until you delete the applicable information.

Conversation history does not currently expire automatically.

We may retain information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect users or the service, or meet legitimate security obligations.

18. Children

Voice of Reason is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to create Voice of Reason accounts.

If we learn that personal information has been collected from someone under 18 in violation of this policy, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

19. Wellness and Health Information

Voice of Reason is a general wellness and reflective-support tool.

It is not a healthcare provider, medical service, psychotherapy service, or clinical record system through the app.

Using Voice of Reason does not create a therapist-client, physician-patient, or other professional healthcare relationship with Inner Workings LLC or any individual associated with Inner Workings LLC.

The app should not be used as an emergency or crisis service.

20. Your Choices

Depending on the feature, you may:

• Delete conversations
• Clear your AI conversation history
• Delete journal entries
• Delete saved items
• Review, edit, confirm, or delete memories
• Turn memory off
• Delete your account
• Request deletion of an early-access email signup

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Voice of Reason develops, our technology changes, or legal requirements change.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
